Is your process using high flow liquid filter cartridges?

When identifying the best fit, form, function and value for your filtration application it is a good idea to take a step back and look at the system as a whole. 

So, what exactly is a high flow liquid filter cartridge? 

A high flow filter cartridge is a pleated filter cartridge with a large outer diameter that allows significantly (10x media square feet compared to traditional cartridges) more media surface area. The robust media and construction provides a wide range of chemical compatibility, high particle holding capacity, and can handle higher flow rates, temperatures, and more pressure than traditional liquid cartridge filters. 

Another advantage is the inside-out flow, these cartridges capture contaminants internally, which prevents potential contamination during change outs. Additionally, the high flow filter also comes in a wide range of micron rettenions (efficiencies) so it can be utilized in most standard processes.

Applications in need of high flow rates traditionally have used multiple standard filter cartridges or bags. With the high flow filter cartridge you can substantially increase the media area to allow for the required flow rates while reducing the amount of filters needed. The large filter cartridges also bring significantly higher dirt hold capacities, which increase the life of the filter reducing replacement and labor costs. 

High flow filter cartridges can be installed in vertical or horizontal housings taking up a smaller footprint because one cartridge can replace multiple bags or multiple standard cartridges. Ultimately this helps reduce waste and the amount of filters being changed on an annual basis, which reduces the environmental impact of that waste because they are longer lasting single filters.

When reviewing a new or current liquid filter process, consider the versatilite advantages significant cost savings, finer filtration in more difficult applications, reduce labor and increase system efficiency compared to standard traditional 2.5" OD filter cartridges and filter bags that a high flow filter cartridge can bring.
